Wintertime Fun Things to Do in Gatlinburg Tennessee & the Great Smoky Mountains!

Deer Ridge Mountain Resort

You could spend weeks, even months, in the Smoky Mountains trying everything there is to do and STILL not get everything in. Gatlinburg and nearby Pigeon Forge offer amusement parks, shopping complexes, arts and crafts communities, family fun centers, horseback riding, bungee jumping, and more unique attractions than you can count on five sets of hands.

So where can you go to get a decent starting place on Smoky Mountain Area Information without having to crawl through dozens of outdated pages on Google? Right here, of course! On this page, we'll give you some excellent recommendations for attractions, a Special Events calendar, and some additional lists for more resources to build your itineraries.

Murder Mystery Dinner Show

A lot of theaters in Pigeon Forge offer to give you one heck of a good show, but only one theater in Pigeon Forge offers interaction with the show.

Enter the Murder Mystery Dinner Show on Teaster Lane, just across the street from the Pigeon Forge Crossing Mall. In this theater, the show happens not on stage, but all around you. There are three shows shown seasonally along with a four-course meal to "die" for. If you want something truly different as a live entertainment memory to go home with, here it is!

There are a few different shows at Murder Mystery Theater:

Moonshine Murders - A story as old as time in the Tennessee hills, the Luke brothers have had it pretty good in the Tennessee mountains for a while, doing nothing but selling homemade firewater to the local yokels and running from the wooden legged cops. But now that traffic has started up in Sevier County, the family business is jeopardy and the cops are starting to catch up. Add some Elvis in the mix, and you have one wild ride of a show to look forward to!

Whodunnit Lucy? - Of all the complicated farces and murder scenes in all the world, you chose to walk into one with Lucy Ricardo. That wacky redhead is running this ship - after her husband Ricky finished up all the preparations needed to debut his new show at the club, and someone mentioned to Lucy that a TV crew would be taping, everything was set in place for a hilarious disaster of epic, Lucy-sized proportions. One of the best shows in the Smokies, guaranteed!
